It's too bad these are getting out into the market.

Looks pretty good too, but I agree its only a matter of time and someone will be getting burned.

I agree.
That seller puts a lot of restamps on eBay. At least it says in the description that it's restamped, but as Brewster said, someone will get burned in a few years after it has some "patina" on it & they might not know what to look for in a fake...

True, not only how to spot the smoothing of the face prior to restamping, but also those special hidden stamped numbers in the throttle body and airhorn that would not sinc up with the restamped number.

It's too bad really as the value of original units and restamps is really a formidable difference

Default Restamp

Totally agree. Not cool to restamp. There is just no point in it imo.

Default restampor not to

my only problem with it is all the secondary numbers not lining up with the cast and date code, if the guy took the time to get that right then who cares at that point. but chances are he is not getting that detailed, but the real reality is in another 20 years when all of the baby boomers are planted in the ground none of this will even matter and there will be another muscle car glut with thousands of rebuilt cars with no buyers and no gas to even run them or if there is it will be over 20 per gallon anyways
