Loffen,
The one pic shows enough of what I remember and the assembly manual states the same.
Cut at a 45 or parallel to the ground then about1-2 in back cut at a 90 to the ground.
Thank you.

Had another good one today, the American car club of Norway has their own insurance for US cars, it is divided in 5 conditions of the car where 5 is the bottom line and 1 is the best.

Anyways my inspector told me that in his 10 + years in the job only had rated one car into the # 1 category.......

Today he has rated a total of 2 cars into the # 1 category

Congrats... a well-earned compliment on an amazing restoration. I enjoyed reading all of your progress reports... beautiful car. I hope you enjoy it for a while before (if) you decide to sell it.

Scott

Any valuation should reflect the cost of finding a suitable replacement car here in the U.S., shipping it over, and the higher cost of all the parts due to the added freight to get them to Norway. Essentially, just what you had to do to 'create' the car you now have. A good starting point would be to sum all your costs to-date and then add a figure for your labor and see what you arrive at. Then measure that against comparable sales on the auction house website archives. I would guess that values there are in the 10 to 20 percent higher range versus pricing in the U.S?

I would guess the value here is about 30-35% (+25% just in Vat..) higher than in the US, but that is not a problem since the Club will take care of that part.

So just the value of a simular car in the same condition in the US would be great (And remember 1 of 50, factory show car and so on)

A while ago there was a 1969 GTO Convertible for sale in Sweden.A fine resto but not matching numbers.Asking price was near 75.000 dollars.Your resto is better if you ask me.A pro resto shop here in Sweden takes about 150.000-200.000 dollars for a "nut and bolt" resto=new car.

Thanks Peje, at this time it actually looks like you get better prices in sweeden than norway, here the prices stops at 33-41,000 Usd (200-250,000 Nok) no matter what the condition the car is in.

That would be great, then I will have something to compare it with.
Just of the phone now with the insurance, after looking at Hemmings and a couple of other sites they did set the insurance value to 450,000 Nok or about 75,000 Usd, I am pretty happy with that.

Of course,Asking price doesn`t mean Selling price..
The top restored cars in Sweden are NOT sold here.Shipped and sold to another country, sometimes back to USA.Bring more money there.

I had a similar discussion with my insurance company...The my GT-37 is compared to the LeMans for pricing. They have book value at 30-40K at the top level.

You get some percent for verts and 455 but yours will probably top out at 40K usd in their minds.
