tail light gasket?
I am getting water coming into the trunk through the tail lights so I ordered new gaskets from Firebird Central. They are very thick, hard rubber, not foam like the ones I have in there now. There is no way in hell you can get the housing back into the rear panel with these things. Anyone recommend a better gasket? These things are ridiculous.

Anyone? Has anyone had to run a bead of sealant around these things to keep water out? I'm losing patience with my wet trunk.

3M Strip Caulk works pretty good for making gaskets.

Thanks, that's what I was thinking of trying.

Have you tried leaving the rubber gaskets out in the sun for a couple hours? Maybe they'll soften up to be serviceable and take shape when cooled off.

These things are way too thick and stiff, even heating them would do nothing. I'm going to try some strip caulk.
