Painter recommendation
Don't know what is going on with the painter. Can't get a straight answer, car has been sitting for over two months past the time he promised to start on it. I need a plan B., Live near Columbia Md., want a #1 job, have cash. Tks.

I think Martin has posted that on every car forum he visits. I guess for that reason it has become Gospel to the anti-restoration shop topics, and so people think he is the ultimate last word on the subject. I can tell you this much, not all restoration shops operate like he describes. |

I am guessing the OP took his car to a body/collision shop, hence my post. Taking a resto job to a body shop was a mistake I made once but won't make again. Martin's article could have saved me a bunch of grief if I had seen it beforehand.
