Congrats on getting it out racing.

That MPH shows some good ET promise.
(10.6's)

Car does look like it needs some chassis adjustments, but a good pass for just getting it out.

Engine tune probably has some more in it too?

1/8 mile was 7.20@100.15. I need to get good shocks thinking QA1 double adjustable stockerstars out back and not sure about the fronts. Any suggestions? Hope to go to the chassis dyno soon to get everything dialed motor wise. All in all not bad for a conservative tune 20 degrees total at 10psi.

You definitely lost a lot of ET on the launch.

Get some more passes on it and then TURN the boost up.

I had the QA1 out back, liked them alot. You will also need an adjustable in front as well.

Should I go with the double adjustables in the front also. I'm running Moroso trick springs and lakewood 90/10 up front and Hotchkis rear springs in the back with the NAPA shocks and drag bags so I know I'm handicaped big time suspension wise. I just want to get the most out of the curent combo before I finish the new motor. So come on guys lets here all your "tricks of the trade" tips for A-body suspension!

First of all congrats on getting it out and some passes under your belt.

I have to be honest and say that I don't know the first thing about an A-body suspension, BUT I would strongly recommend a double adjustable front shock.

How did your AFR's look? And 10lbs with 20* is killing the power, IMO. I run in that ballpark (timing) with 25-30lbs of boost.

Well I didn't get any AFR readings because my dumb ass left the LM1 at the shop which was 2hrs away. I checked the plugs after every pass and saw no signs of detonation and they weren't reading lean. How much timing you think I should try? I had 30 total and pulled 1 degree for every pound of boost starting at 1 pound on the pass in the video. Then I bumped it up to 34 and left the retard the same but the car blew the tires off bad but still ran a 11.20@125.15. I hope next time the track prep is better and I can leave on the trans break and a bit more timing. Keep the help coming I'll have AFR's next time to go off. Double adjustable rear shocks coming first then the fronts soon after!

DO NOT GET IN A BIG HURRY TO ADD LARGE JUMPS IN TIMING!

4 DEGREES OF TIMING CHANGE AT ONE BUMP IS PLAYING RUSSIAN ROULETTE WITH TWO
.45 CALIBER ARMY SIDE ARMS.

Sneak up on the timing, VERY CAREFULLY, one degree at a time.

Talk to Brian Bad69bird about this "sneaking up on the timing"

(With full retard in) NO MORE THAN 27 degrees of timing with any boost over 10 PSI

You are right Tom I got caught up trying to get my 10 second pass and didn't think. Lucky I didn't hurt anything.

IMO, the front shock is more important then the rears. Get a good double adjustable for the front, then move to the rears. Santuffs,Afcos, then Strange in that order is a good double adjustable for the front.

I agree with Tom on the timing deal. My experience with a non-intercooled motor has been no more than 27*. I wouldn't feel comfortable telling you how much timing without an AFR reading.

AFR reading soon to come. I hope to go back to the track in the next couple weeks it gets pretty discouraging at the track when the suspension is not working. As far as the timing thing I have no excuse on creeping up on it the 7535 makes it easy to adjust the timing retard to whatever I want. As far as timing suggestions I take them as just that suggestions. I just use them more to see if I'm heading in the right direction. Stupid alternator crapped out on me so as soon as I get the time to swap that I'll get back on track. Pretty embarrassed that an alternator is the hold up though.

Also Brian @27 degrees (if I end up there) you think I should be running straight 110. I've been running a mix of 3 gallons 91 and 5 of 110. I hope to get down to pump gas but if I have to stick with race fuel I will.
