Default How to transport a car......

My father would like to ship his 1966 Corvette from Wisconsin to Arizona. The hauler needs to be insured, enclosed, etc.

Does anyone have experience with this? Costs, recommendations, etc.

Thanks,

T.

Antique Auto Forwarders, Inc.

Good folks, small (3-car) enclosed haulers pulling with new diesel dually pickups. Nothing above your prized car to fall or drip brake fluid or battery acid on it.

I couldn't agree more. I used them to ship my 71 HO car from Chicago to Atlanta and they did an excellent job with very good equipment. The guy picked it up on-time and delivered it on-time. Highly recommend.

Thomas Sunday out of PA. I have shipped 20 -30 cars, they are the best. Not the biggest, but top shelf all the way.

Be careful of companies that are brokers. They contact a lot of haulers and hook you up with the cheapest.

I'm trying to get a hauler to take my car to the Nationals and bring back when the show is over a week later but having difficulty as all the big guys like Sunday and others, who is very good by the way want to haul a bunch of cars, not just one and come back in a week. Car is kept in NJ at my moms house. Any ideas or individuals to contact?

Another vote for antique auto forwarders . Do a great job , reasonable and flexible . They have covered trailers and are going all over the country.

I know this is an old post but has anyone used or know of the status of Antique Auto Forwarders of NC lately? They did a great job shipping my car back in 08 but can't find a website or my papers for them anymore, are they still around?

Default Autobahn Transport

I have had great luck over the years with Autobahn Transportation out of Chicago. Sam is the owner and his number is 630-257-1184. I have used them at least a dozen times with no issues. Not always exactly on time but NEVER any damage. Obviously that is my first concern. Tell him Jeff in Wisconsin said to call. He is a good guy to deal with and very reasonable.
