Default Ethyl n Me n the Preacher

Hi I am new to the site. I am in my 60's. I found the 2004 GTO to be a rather sedate touring sedan. My wife and I drive it to church every Sunday. Pontiac swayed me on the 2004 GTO with their excellent advertising. I recall one Pontiac magazine cover that had a young executive type standing beside her GTO with her cell phone and briefcase. Reading articles about the real intention to compete with the used BMW market completely convinced me that it was one of those "gotta have" once in a lifetime opportunities.

I call her Ethyl, she has a few dings on her and is missing a few parts here and there at 100,000 miles. There is this horrible defect I am trying to figure out. A hole has appeared in the carpet. I cannot for the life of me figure out why it appeared and seems to have gotten bigger over time. I know the preacher often borrows it after the Sunday sermon and have noticed there seems to be a correlation between his Sunday jaunts and the residue from the hole. Here is a picture of the hole, have any of you had similar problems?

The trunk doesn't have enough room for my walker which is somewhat annoying, especially when I have been running errands and pull into the garage and need to pee. I have to wait for my wife to come out with the walker. I keep wondering if I really need all this stuff the preacher put in the trunk. He says it is positively essential to hold off the evil Mustangs, whatever that means.

Preacher took the car out last week and I noticed the gas mileage was somewhat diminished when he returned it. He tells me he will put the hood back on soon.

My lovely bride of 43 years is working with the preacher to help put a roll cage on the car. She tells me that the preacher's wife told her that roll cages can be a lot of fun on date night with handcuffs and spurs. I don't know if I understand that though.

The preacher has convinced me that I need to go completely green with Ethyl so we have been running her on straight E85 that he gets somewhere up in the hills. I found this in the trunk once. I figure the preacher took his wife out and left her beads and his spurs in there. I am worried about him drinking the E85 though.

Well anyhow, that is the story of me n Ethyl

PS. I did find this strange video the preacher left in the car.

I said, "Don't
look, Ethel!" But it's too late, she'd already been incensed.

Welcome to the "real GTO" site WRP

Hey WRP, glad to see you here. I've always enjoyed your stories and posts. I think MOST here will enjoy them as well. Ethyl lives on with quite a storied history. Those videos were hilarious. "In case I run into a WRX"

Thanks for the welcome. Me n Ethyl been around a bit. Actually our lineage goes way back to Chester County SC well before the revolutionary war with my GGGG Grandfather Jerry Jeff Smith and his wife Sharn Gene with their mule Eitel. My family has dedicated itself to improvements in zaust mods since then. Ethyl's got a few zaust mod endorsements herself.

Jerry Jeff and Sharn Gene's grandson invented nitrous spray and their ggg grandson invented the WRX STi. Be glad to share those stories too if anyone is interested.
