Steve:
I will continue to pray for you.

Romans 8: 28 says: "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."

Isaiah 26: 3-4 says: "You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, for he trusts you. Trust in the Lord, for the Lord God is an everlasting rock."

I'm praying that God will heal you and that His purpose for you is not completed yet, and that He will reveal Himself to you in a way that gives you His peace, which surpasses all understanding.

BJ

Yes, yesterday - he had just taken a big dump so he was felling pretty good.

Going back in for another round of chemo tomorrow - sticking with it, and his spirits seemed good.

I agree there are way too many people that know when I go to the bathroom, crazy is it not?

Here is my update:

12/32/2011 I went to an OSU Cowboy basketball game; I started hurting after the game and by midnight I was on the deck in pain; didn’t sleep for a full week, and had to leave my inventory at work the next Saturday for the ER. I had tried all week to see one of my doctors; but by the time they decided who would look at me and the holidays I couldn’t get in.

What happened is there is a cancer they label as a “module” on my lower rectum up against my sciatic nerve; they have apparently missed this in all my scans and complaints. So back on chemo for 2 cycles over the last months and my CEA is back down in the good range; the chemo was horrific this time and seems to get worse with each round, I’m talking about the negative side effects.

I had oral surgery last Monday and my mouth is still very sore; but otherwise I’m in good spirits and feeling very good. I never stopped playing soccer in all of this, some of the games just after chemo weren’t the best but I still got out there and did my part.

I’m working on my Corvette and going to Europe in May; I can’t really afford the trip but I don’t really have the luxury of time to worry about that.

That’s about it.

Steve:
It's good to hear from you and get a first-hand update. I can't imagine what you've been through. Hang in there and keep your faith. I will continue to pray for your complete healing and freedom from the pain and negative side effects.

BJ
