I saw that post. Very good looking part.

I boxed my frame so I had to redo my crossmember mounts. I decided to use the factory crossmember and redo the ends and mount it as high as I could get it to the floor. My exhaust coming off the tri-ys should have plenty of clearance running horizontal. The crossmember is probably just a touch higher than factory, not much.

I have already had them on the car for a test fit, they have so much ground clearance that the collectors literally have to point down just a little to go under the crossmember!

I am thinking about using some oval tubing to tuck up as high as possible under the crossmember and then go back to round after the crossmember. It is going to be so cool to see the car from a side shot and not see a big set of headers hanging down.
I went with the oval tube exhaust from Ram Air Restorations. It's only oval tube up to the mufflers. The Spintechs have oval inlets and round outlets. I could not be more pleased with the results! Ron's Tri-Y's are the best fitting Pontiac headers on the planet!

I know its been quiet...partly due to the season and the weather, etc.Ron has been struggling in an unheated shop to make things work...and the bender has something like 110 gallons of hydraulic fluid and doesnt like to run right when it is cold. His landlord may be providing him with some of what he needs to insulate the place, but then that takes time since its only Ron. Once again.....any new orders help facilitate the old. Its happening, but at a snails pace.....I realize. Wish I had a way to physically help him.

As others have said......nothing in the pontiac exhaust world compares to these headers. Lets try to make sure they stick around. I personally am going to drink a case of beer to celebrate when all the old orders are done and mine are being built.

Awesome pics there guys...I'm jealous.

Ken Crocie...I know the delay in getting your 2" set done left a sore spot, but did you ever get any pics? I have some of yours somewhere if I can find them.

ON A FINAL NOTE...I AM TWISTING RON'S ARM TO RAISE THE PRICE. HE HAS TO. I'M STILL FINDING OUT TO THIS DAY HOW MUCH EXTRA MATERIAL IS WASTED IN TRIAL FITTING THINGS, AND HOW MUCH PREP TIME REQUIRED BEFORE WELDING ALMOST EVERY PIECE OF PIPE, AND THEN EVEN WITH THE JIG THE HEADERS ARE TAKEN OVER TO THE TEST FRAME AT VARIOUS POINTS TO CHECK THE FIT AS HE GOES ALONG. TIME CONSUMING....RESOURCE CONSUMING.

SO GET YOUR ORDERS IN BEFORE I GET MY WAY (I WANT IT TO HAPPEN NOW). IF I GET MY WAY THE PRICE WILL GO FROM $450 TO $525 FOR A SET UNCOATED......

Aron,
when was the last time you checked your emails? I'm needing a tracking #. Still no headers nearly a month after Ron said he took them to the shippers. ( he never said which shipper) I've been trying to contact him, you and Deanna for a while now with no results.
Thanks,
Ken.

I'd gladly spend the extra $75 extra if it would eliminate the problem like "oldblue" is having.......

Old Blue, Please keep posted, I am wanting to order a set so so bad, Just don't want to spend all my spare money now unless I can get them, Would rather wait and at least have a little change to be buying other parts until production improves ,

I will keep you all posted. I actually need to say my last post was one I didn't want to have to make, I was hoping to make a post saying I had them in my hands and how nice they were, complete with pics . I'm hoping this last part is just a shipping glitch. (at this point I need to add that my headers are coming into Canada, which is a whole other problem when shipping is by anything other than USPS - at least to my experience) I've been trying to stay positive on this whole situation since I ordered my headers back in 06, and have managed to for the most part. I have to say that the last couple of weeks have been extremely frustrating after I repayed my shipping and the headers simply seemed to disappear after receiving word from Ron that they had been shipped. Without a tracking# I have no way of knowing anything.

Well, at long last! Ron called couple of times today, and we had a couple of good long chats, decent guy! The headers are definitely on their way, and I have a tracking#. Hopefully from here it'll be smooth sailing.

Skip, did you have to pay extra for shipping? when did you order?

rtrta, I ordered about the same time. I thought I was "sponsoring" old orders too. I feel the same way you do about the lack of communication.

Maybe one day my order will show up? or do I have to pay shipping again? Would like to hear from Ron myself.

I ordered a few months ago through Aron. Fit the IA block also, but these will probably be for a 400 block RAIV headed 428ci sized for the 65 GTO with a stick whenever that project gets going! The original IA early GTO headers I have(new) that are way too many separate tubes just look like a pain to seal so will get sold.

The Impala needs the new 409 first but it is behind the Camaro IA project before the GTO.

Gearbanger so you must be the person who left the cat in a carrier by my office's back door 2 New Years Eve's ago because she has a heart murmur! She has all the UPS guys trained where the treat jar is up front to give her one.

Had one left this year in the middle of the day before Christmas really sweet overwight gray kitty. Another one to treat for a bite wound while they went to baseball practice-never showed back up.

Brian,

There was someone I tried replying to not long ago and it came back as undeliverable. Not sure if that was you. Sent you a PM.

rcrta....I have you in the list of people waiting.

Things have been very busy personally for me lately, and Ron seems to have also slowed in his delivery. But he has not stopped. One by one new orders AND old orders have been sent out. I'm not in charge of who gets what next or even who might be next. I tried doing that once and got tangled in something beyond my control, and I wont do it again. All I can say is......I still havent received my headers either. But I believe I will. As someone else who was waiting over 5 yrs for theirs recently said to me, "I was shocked when they really showed up."

egad.....sorry....just looked up higher. Ken, so sorry I havent been checking emails very regularly. But Ron told me yours have shipped now. I dont have a tracking # cause I didnt even think to ask.

Roadrage David.......give me a call this weekend again if you can.
