These http://shop.timberland.com/product/i...FindSrc=search I am on my knees a lot and usually wear holes in the toe before the boot is even broke in. With the composite on the toes I got a year and a half out of the last pair.

I've worn mine for almost 5 years now and they work pretty well. My feet have shrunk from a 14 to a 11.5 so they are a little big, but I still wear them anyways and have very little issue. I dropped a cylinder head on the toe accidentally once and it was no big deal. Rated for high voltage work, which is important in my line of work ;-)

pretty hard to find boots made in USA anymore
about half the Red Wings are imported now.

RedWing offers a toe coating thats just like those toes.
I called it Rhino lining to the shoe guy and he looked at me kinda funny.
I only buy EH rated ones myself and dont see any of these offering that.

They are EH rated, click on Features.

Bought a pair of Timberland steel toes from a factory outlet store in Georgia. Best $80 I ever spent on a pair of boots.
I had no issues with comfort when breaking them in. My feet are sensitive to standing on concrete floors and they were fine after 12 hour days.

They aren't used as a selling point on their shoes but I looked up the standards mine were made to when I bought them and they are good for up to 25kV.

When I was quartermaster for a large police department, I bought nothing but Danner boots for the motorcycle officers; they were far better than any other brand, although they are pricey.

However, would you rather pay more to support American industry and a superior product or less to buy pickled duck feet for Chinese workers making a mediocre product?

I also wear Danner boots. Expensive but worth it in my opinion. Most comfortable boots I have ever worn.

Thumbs up Blundstone 550's

You will NEVER want to buy another boot.

I believe forum member "Deadhead" (Bruce) uses them? Look them up at www.blundstone.com

Not sure though if they have an outlet in the US?

The quality remains, long after price is forgotten

I'm in the market for boots also (US) . All the Danner boots I found were made in China. I found a pair of Chippewa boots I like. Just have to find my size. Chippewa and red Wing also have many styles from china. Aggravating
