Default 66 gto 4sp reverse lights stay on?

Just gotten the car up to 100 miles on new rebuild. tripower great, power and sound awsome but my reverse lights stay on. I understand that the lights have to ground to turn off but I am yet to find what and where it should be. My car is a barn find and all is intact but this may have been overlooked as I rebuilt the engine and trans. all help is appreciated as i climb under her.

Not positive on the 66, but the 64 uses a switch on the trans that puts power to the lights. No grounding. Has to be a bad switch or the link for the reverse shift arm fell off.

Most likely need to re-adjust the rod on the sw.
I have seen many 66's drive in with the back ups lit up
