Seems to me potato skins are a appetizer at many upscale restaurants, plus all the nutrients are absorbed from the dirt they are grown in and are contained in the skin. Remove the skin and all you have left is the starchy part of the potato, no nutrients left at all.

Mike's right, they ain't french fries if there ain't any skin on them. Besides if eatin dirt was bad for ya I would have been dead long ago, see race picture on dirt track in my signature I've eaten a lotta dirt over the years. That's why dirt's for racin on, and asphalt's for gettin to the races, I know eatin asphalt ain't good for ya.........................................

Yes, I have and it's overpriced. I get sticker shock every time I go. The last one came with cheese and I don't like fast food cheese. It's basically Velveeta and sticks in my braces--which sucks. You didn't know I had braces huh?

Five Guys makes a better burger, but no Frosty. Just tons of fries.

When I want a "fast food burger" I go to Wendy's. Way back in the day when Amy and I were dating there was a Chic-Fil-A in the mall we would go to. Jessica just started working at the Chic-Fil-A at the only "mall" left in Toledo. She works hard and is very busy. A couple of Saturdays ago we went to watch her work. She had been at work 4 hours with four registers open, Amy and I were #505 that Jessica had served!! Jessica told us when she got home she had served over 700 in five hours. The chicken was just as good as Amy and I remembered 25 years ago.

All fast food has too much sodium, that's why it should be a rare treat and not a daily meal, moderation people. I did like the old fries but I don't miss them...I'd be more worried about the crap contamination (e coli) in any ground beef compared to a potato skin that has been washed and cooked in hot oil that kills all bacteria, can't say that about the beef if it's not cooked extra extra well done, to each his own.

Sounds like it.. used to eat lunch at one of those all the time back in H.S.
been 15 years since ive had one of those.. but those were good (and fairly cheap)

I totally agree.

I used to automatically reach for the salt shaker for everything, but a stroke in January of 2010 changed my thinking. After you put down the salt shaker for awhile many foods become inedible because they are way too salty. A bag of lays chips falls into this category - if you don't think lays are too salty then you are probably consuming too much salt every day. And when you start to look at labels and nutrition menus you find that everything is either laden with salt or fat (or both). There is no healthy fast food or mainstream chain restaurant food - none. Fat and salt add taste and that's why they are in commercial food.

Don't believe me? keep on salting..... you may eventually get to take a ride in a white van with a flashing light on top just like i did.

I havent had Wendys in a while, I hated their previous fries, so I went to try the new ones, more of the same but with skin this time.

I got really tired of wendys in college, they had this really good deal for cheap biggie fries and drink and the small double cheese burger for like 2 or 3 bucks. Ate it all the time

Now if I want fast food I go to Jack In the Box.

But BOY do I miss Texas Burger back home.

Noticed on way home last nite 100's gathered outside a new place with a DJ and/or live band.
Turned out to be a promotion for a grand opening.
1st 100 to camp out 24hrs get free food for a year.
Most where from out a state as far as Texas!
Is it some kind of cult? Should i load-n-lock?
The name is Lic-A-Chick or som'tn...
