How to remove rear seats in 73 TA
Excuse the stupid question. How do I remove the rear seats for a 73 TA. Do you just yank them out or is there a release somewhere?

you need to push the bottoms down and back pretty hard, there's a sort of "open clam" looking bracket on the floor that the seat frame "wire" pops into. It can be a PITA til you get the hang of it. After the bottoms are out, there's a single bolt at the bottom center of each side of the backs that needs removed, then they get lifted up to free them from where they hook over at the top.

start with the bottoms, push back towards the trunk area from the front of the lower cushion and then up to release them. The upper is held in by a bolt at the lower center of each side and then the whole piece is hung on a hook towards the top so just remove the the bolts and lift it up and out.

The best way is to move the front seats all the way up so that you have room to work.
Position yourself so that you are squatting on the rear floor facing rearward. This gives you good leverage with your butt/back against the rear of the front seats so that you can push (as described above) like you are trying to shove the bottom of the seat horizontally rearward. With luck, it pops right out of the holder on the floor.
