750 cfm vs 800
Hey guys, a few months back I hunted down a carb for the 455 build ive got going. The hunt resulted in a 17058266 carb whick I understand is a "good" core. Ive recently come across a rebuilt / ready to run 7040267. Im wondering if there is much of a difference between the two? Im not real confident that I will get the old carb running, im not a carb guy. So I thought this 7040267 might be decent since its from a 455 originally.
455 0.30 7k3's opened up a bit Ra manifolds "041" cam 4spd Would there be a noticeable difference? |

I bet "seat of the pants" you would not notice a difference between the two. On a dyno or test and tune at the drag strip that may be another story. Run what you have available. JMO

The 1705 carb has more adjustability, would be a better carb.
Both would have the same "feel" properly set up, street wise or racing.... I'm wary of the "ready to go" carb, where it's from, don't want you to get burned... The 704 carb being off a 455, is not an important factor, could help a little, not much. Having more info about your engine, would be helpful...for some of the experts to help you, I'm not an expert...
