I don't know if I can be of any help but I have a MINT 70 Chevelle wagon frame you can have for $100. I assume they are the same?

That's exactly what my insurance company said.....they won't accept their appraisals.

So, today I just found out I'm having to go to arbitration with my insurance company regarding the value of my totaled 72 LeMANS wagon. I have to find a certified appraiser, they get one of theirs, they meet and hopefully come up with an agreed value. If not, it goes to a third party appraiser. It's already been 6 weeks....this is getting old.
On a good note, they let me know that "on good faith" they will honor the amount they offered the first time if this process results in a lower value. I can't go any lower than what they offered anyway......so I guess it's worth a try.

Ron,

Why are you not dealing with the other driver's insurance company? She hit you and was at fault, right? Her insurance company owes you a replacement car period.
Or is Ill. one of those "no fault" insurance states?

Hey Russ,

I think it's going down like this; my insurance company is representing me with my concerns in mind. They want to take care of me to keep me as a customer. And they have....given the knowledge I have now. They had no problem going to arbitration to determine the true value of the wagon. This way, they have documentation to give her insurance company when the time comes to collect from them. Yes, I think they low balled me, but if a higher value is determined by the certified appraiser, they will have to raise their initial offer simply because it is at the lowest rating right now!. I'll just be happy when this is all said and done..........yeeesh.

Hey Ron, The one in Wis. is my old Green T-41 wagon, but no longer has the endura front. Not sure if it has standard front on it yet, but thats what he was doing with it. Pretty solid car and ran well. Has a few small holes in pass. floor and rust at top of windsheild, as well as hole in spare tire well. I've got his Ph. number if your interested.

Lyn.

Thanks for the heads up camerjeff and Lyn......

Problem is I'm still waiting on the arbitration to be settled. Hopefully by next week I'll be able to start shopping! Meanwhile....I have to stare at my wagon all banged up in the garage.

Yes, spotted that one last night. Utah is quite a ways away, and it's not quite as nice as what I'm looking for. Thanks though! Have a blast at Norwalk!......wish I were heading out there with something to play with too. Two years in a row now I've planned on going, but to no avail. Just like the Cubbies.....wait till next year! LOL!

Ron, Hate to sound like broken record, but again this is a car I owned up until April this year. Nice car runs very good, but I sold it to the dealer for $2800.00 and thats all its worth with the work it needs. If your interested I can tell you whatever you need to know about it. Would be nice car with some work!

Lyn.

Hey Lyn (and Drake)...........what's a record?! LOL! heheheee.....(that's what my son would say!)

That's the one you brought up to Jefferson. I'm not really looking for a 73, even though that is a sweet wagon for sure.

Thank's though!

And I do appreciate y'all keeping an eye out for a new ride for me.
...cause I have nothing to around anymore!

I got a phone call today, they wanted me to fax them a signed authorization to invoke the appraisal clause. Seems like they're really dragging this one out...........

......it'll be two months tomorrow........

It has to really suck to wait two months and wake up every morning to see something that you put a lot of time and effort into and can't even take one bolt or part off the car. I think I would go crazy and be very pissed or frustrated. I hope you get it all resolved.

Car dosen't look to bad, but looked better with the T-41 clip. Guys name is Dale if your interested Ron? I put the motor in this car, but it is a '72 350 w/fairly low miles and new timing chain and gears runs very nice and was cleaned and painted along with the front part of the frame!

just an update................the certified appraiser for the Farm stopped by today. (finally!)

It's looking pretty good now, he's an old car guy! Has a 67 Buick he was telling me about. He said he's going to evaluate it at the average at least and said all of the upgrades I've put into it do actually raise the value!

I'm seeing light at the end of the tunnel................
