F/S 1971 Pontiac GTO, 455 H.O. Hardtop
F/S, 1971 GTO 455HO.
'Bout time I got this up on here........the question is what kind of reserve should I present the car at guys? It's up in the following classifieds at this point for a day or two more. Think I'd send it to e-bay auction pretty soon. I tend to think the $20,900 is a bit too low for an auction type sale reserve; it's midway on NADAguides between low and average car rating. Input please? Anyone here want the car? Said I'd put it up here for folks to ponder a buy. Look at my profile for before pic's of the car, day it first scooted into the driveway! Is this a #s car? I read it to be a #s car, but wanted to make sure.
Have you decoded the entire car? Trans, Heads, Intake, Disti, Carb ...all the components? Market has been hard on these 455 HOs of late, but this one looks like a real nice clean driver. Starting auctions high is a kiss of death in this economy....start low but set reserve where you need to have it. Can always lower it. IMO. Jeff |

Quick suggestion - take some better pictures!
Take the car out of your driveway and place it in a nice setting - park, field, something other than a parking lot. Cloudy days are better than sunny days (makes for less dramatic shading) and take a picture of the front of the car with the hood shut. The front drivers corner shot from about 15' back from the car is the best one for the first listing picture. It's a great car, let everyone know it!
