I am a beginner to pontiac and need some help with engine tweaking and cannot find a good mechanic that knows pontiac. I can come to you or you can come to me. I would compensate you for your time and travel expenses. Please help a fellow gear head!!

Well, we're not in Northern Virginia, but we ARE in Virginia! Our shop is about 45 miles SW of Richmond on US Rt. 360. I live in Chesterfield, a "suburb" of Richmond.

Gimme a call, and I'll see if we can't help.

Jim

Would highly recommend CVMS. I traveled out there from Chesapeake, Va. He has a lot of knowledge one these old Pontiac engines. And does excellent machine work.

If Jim is a little far for you give me a call 540-967-4836, I am in Louisa,Va and have a chassis dyno along with tuning equipment. Jim is a good guy and they are putting together a tiger headed 535 pump gas motor for me right now.

Steve - I may take you up on that offer, would like to get the driver on a dyno and ironed out.

72 G-code - What exactly are you looking for? Just some general tune up stuff and timing/carb stuff? Do you have a specific issue you want worked out? I'm 10 mins from you, Aden Rd is my personal race track!

Sounds familiar, but no clue. I used to go back towards quantico from the 4-way at the store, (638? 619?) over to 610 to go to stafford. Those roads get hairy at speed, especially at night. But in general, on many of those roads, I've topped out. (and I'm not talkin' on 411 gears!). I lived over in Midland/Elk Run for a number of years, know those roads pretty good. Unfortunately, many know my cars, of the 'uniformed' type, so I've calmed over the years...some...
