Default Bypassing Heater Core, ? on Fluid in Heater Core

I'm planning on bypassing the heater core ( Bottom hoe is really bad and it's easier right now to just bypass it ) and replacing the coolant with water for the track. What is best way to leave the Heater core, flush that also and then blow it out with air and cap it.

cap it to keep the mud dawbers out. just run a hose from the front to the rear. its more reliable than those caps wich blow out without much notice. Also pure water is not the best idea. coolant antifreze is best, mixed with distilled water.
