That OLDS tow Wagon looks super!
You inspired me to post my Towing experience:

MPG is the big Figure of Merit, along with passenger comforts, and cool factor.
So, the effort to get the 68GTO to TOW would involve OVERDRIVE Automatic, Class III Hitch, and A/C reinstall. I took the A/C out (no biggie), The O/D trans is looking like a LARGE ($2500+ investment), and the Class II Hitch looks like a bridge too far. Would REALLY like to see Photos of that Olds Tow Wagon Hitch details. MPG would likely be satisfactory only after OD trans with the 3.54:1 great AND converter slip.

The 95 Lincoln TownCar tows well with 14.5 MPG (Average) towing a 23" Airstream, and 12-12.5 MPG towing a 31foot Airstream. I strongly recommend the 95-97 Towncars chassis for this task over "trucks", BUT, gotta use metal rear Coil springs & Load-Bars for best stability. 93 Octane fuel while towing. 87 Octane when NOT towing.
================================================== ====
Summary: On these considerations, I can get a WHOLE Lincoln TownCar for $2500 that is wrapped around the OD transmission with locking Converter & ECM Controller. So looks like I may BUY that 2nd Tow vehicle, compare parts, etc.
