How many do you think they have, a couple hundred?
I would have to think quite a few people have purchased them already and the site is still showing while supplies last. Well I have mine coming, should be here monday or tuesday this week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mark

I set my intake on my spare/old 406 with 96 heads and it aligned up perfectly with the mounting bolts som mine atleast won't need to be milled. I hear that's a common problem with the Victors

I will check mine on a set of heads when they come in and report out on the fit of them too.

Jeff,
Yes I did!, I couldn't pass on that deal, and I would like to use it in place of the torker II, maybe it will work a little better with the dominator. Later down the road if I get a job with steady income, or my business miraculously takes within the next couple of years, I might look at fuel injection. Mark

The nagging question is what is everyone going to do when the supply is gone???? Is Edelbrock making something new ? - maybe to fit the new gerneration of heads ? Inquiring minds want to know

Chances are they arent discontinuing. My thought is their computer raised a red flag that they have too many sitting on the shelf taking up room in a warehouse on a slow moving item. Might as well blow them out at cost and have the investment back in the kitty to use for something else. Then instead of having 100 on the shelf they'll keep 20. Just a guess on my part though. I really doubt there is something new on the horizon when the old ones work pretty well and probably will work well with the new heads.

My best guess is they overproduced, did a chevy run on them.

Well both of my intakes came today. Excellent bolt alignment (side to side). Might need to cut the cross-over off to get the runner alignment perfect vs the cross-over position but that is no big deal. Injector Boss bores look really nice. I will probably upgrade to a 1/4" fastener between the Injector Boss bores vs the stock size.
Plenum dividers and the rest of the intake looks like a 5 star deal. Well worth the money and put them on the shelf til I am ready for them. Tom Vaught

I got notice that mine was shipped today....lol. You got yours quickly Tom...you and Mark must live next door to Edelbrock's warehouse...lol. Mine is going on the shelf for a while too. Too many other things going on, so it'll probably be a project for next winter.

Got mine about an hour ago.
Looks purrty. Now need to figure how to plug the injector holes so I can use the intake. Mark

I checked my intake for the Injector size. I was afraid that the manifold might take the Peanut Injectors. It takes the normal High Performance Bosch Injectors just fine.

Maybe something like this can be adapted to plug the injector bores. http://www.auto-nomics.com/cgi-bin/s...part=12165-005

Don't think so. WOW $40 for 4, you would need 8!
I will check tomorrow and see if I can get a 160 plugs made with the proper o-ring. Thinking $20.00 for a set of 8, plus shipping. Any interest? Tom Vaught

Just put fogger nozzles in there
Would small freeze plugs work? I've used them for EGR block-offs. |

Tom I was thinking the same thing. I ordered a intake too and work at a machine shop. If you come up with something let us know. I wonder how many of these intakes sold thanks to the heads up here on PY?

Lets see.....8 injectors.....10 fingers....
Sorry, warped sense of humor I would think the o-rings would hold them in tight, but maybe I'm wrong? If these plugs have a flat top could take some bar stock and drill holes for where the rail stands are supposed to go. I know of approximately 20 that have been purchased in the last few days. |
