I'm in the process of converting my 64 GTO to front discs.
The kit came with an 11" booster which won't clear my valve covers. I put a new booster on last winter with the single master cylinder. My question is will this booster work OK with the double master cylinder and discs, the rod fits ok and it bolts up OK. My gut feeling is the booster just does a job providing a power assist and it should work, but I'm really not sure and the booster is off and I don't want to do it twice. If it will work I"ll just send the 11" back for credit. Any advice appeciated, Bud |

What is the "new booster .." that you put on last winter?
I'm guessing it's smaller then 11"? You can of course find later (or aftermarket) smaller Dual Diaphragm boosters that will work harder then a larger single diaphragm booster. Is that what you have? If so, I'm guessing it will be fine.

The new booster I put on last year was a 9" stock replacement from NAPA.
They are sending me a 9" and taking back the 11". The vendor also updated his listing with a 9 or 11" booster option. I'm not familiar with the difference between a single vs. dual diaphragm booster. |
