Not trying to start a fight but if that is what he felt it was worth, what makes him a idiot?

Nobody can win, if that car sold for $5k then people would complain, and then this. The hobby has been ruined since the investors got into it and it wont go back. I personally like the way the prices are going. It helps me with my case with the wife to allow me to continue spending money on these things.

My wife and I were watching that and loved the car.
We both thought that the auctioneer ended the sale pretty quickly.
The next car was a low mile 67 Corvette,I told her to watch them drag the sale out to get as much as they possibly could for it,and they did....sold for 220 000.
If they ended the sale like they did on the Judge, the car would have sold when it was stalled at 130 000.
I wonder who decides which cars get the extra attention.

You can almost tell the cars they don't really care about and the cars they want to big money for.

The ones they don't care about get pushed off the block quickly while the auction is still going, after the hammer comes down pretty quickly.

The ones they want to get big bucks for, they keep on the block, when they stall, they talk it up for a minute or 2 then kick the auction back up. They seem to keep doing this till they get where they want to be.

Who says B-J is a no reserve auction, everything sells but only per Craigs dollar approval.

I am still a sucker and still watch it though.

Still very frustrating that most commercials come when Pontiacs are entering the block, thanks for live streaming so can see the Pontiacs that are not getting air time.

Also, way to much commercial stuff going on and not enough auction block action. I like Mecums' auction coverage so much better because they focus on the auction block when on the air.

You can bid as many times as email addresses you have with different login names. MY son has his and I have mine. Right out of the gate, very first car he was dead on the money 35k Camaro. Right now I only have 120 total and he has 380. If he could just hit a few on the money to catch up. Its kind of fun but I am just refreshing my page then bidding. Wife has had enough of it.

I'm guessing the seller of that Cheemer (61 Impala built around a 12 cylinder BMW engine and suspension) lost his shirt. It had to cost $150K+ to build, and some 20 year old kid bought it for $100K.

Although the engineering on that car was flat unbelievable, it was plain butt ugly! I would have had to bought it cheap enough to plan on tearing it apart and repainting it.

I always wonder who has this kind of money. I must be a really poor money manager 'cause I could never pay these prices. Same goes for the Mecum.

It's like an auto accident; I hate to but I have to watch.
