Looks like a good car for the money.
I'm a fan of the color too.

Slate Green...same color my '73 Luxury LeMans was. At least I'm pretty sure that is Slate Green, it doesn't look dark enough to be Verdant Green and it is most definately not Brewster Green.

My brother had a '76 Buick Regal in that color combo. White roof & white interior too. I always thought it fit the mid-70s cars well.

That is code 46 Golden Olive Metallic. Also called Moss Green Metallic by Oldsmobile.

You sure, Rick? It looks a little too "green" for golden olive.
http://ultimategto.com/73colors.htm What of the possibility of this being a late production car and it having a '74 color slipped on it from the factory? http://ultimategto.com/73colors.htm Years ago I had mine repainted in Limefire Green which was only slightly darker than Slate Green.

The flash photos in the dark make it deceptive as to what the actual color is. I think it is Golden Olive myself. The color chip in UPC's link doesn't look even remotely close to what Golden Olive looks like on a real vehicle. That chip looks more like mud puddle brown. The paint chips in Brian's link aren't the greatest either, IMHO. |

My best friend once had a '73 Cutlass in Moss Green, and I am certain that is the color. Let's compare them.....

The car has had the hood replaced. The correct factory issued 1973 hood would have vents at the base of the windshield. The front bumper has a bumper strip, while the rear does not.
Overall, it is a good looking car, but I do see some rust and panel fitment issues.

I had a 74 Grand Prix several years ago that looks like the same (or similar) color. I don't remember the name of the color or the paint code. I thought it looked real good with the white vinyl top (the interior was green). It was a real nice car to drive.

That's very possible, I don't remember. We painted the car about 10 years ago, and I sold it shortly thereafter. Either way, I like the green/white combo.

The Buy It Now is GTO money. Anyone remember what the asking price was in the CL ad? It was less than $5000 wasn't it?
This eBay listing is very misrepresenting don't you think? Unless the seller just doesn't know squat about old cars. Calls a base model 350 Lemans a muscle car. He sure likes the word 'original' alot. ![]() "This Pontiac is all original never been touched, original paint," Never been touched my foot. What's with the barn paint on the engine? ![]() With these daylight photos, I can now see that it's definately not Golden Olive. Looks similar to the '74 GP above, and also looks alot like a common GM 71-72 shade. |

However, the CL photos had the Michigan plate on the front, in spite of the Toledo OH listing. The 517 area code is Lansing /Battle Creek MI region. |

It was last listed on CL with a 1940 Hudson, each for $2000. I asked the seller on eBay if it was the same car and he said "it had been there over a year". What are the odds of 2 LeManses in MI, in the same color combo, in similar condition, at the same time? Pretty slim, I'd say.
Oh, and with the same pinstriping.

Oh, it's the same car, and probably has (always) been in Michigan. You should have asked him why it was listed in Toledo CL, not if.
