IMO its a bit light on compression probably run fine on 89. Should be a decent power number though. Probably pk torque somewhere around 5000 rpm. Good luck I'll be looking for the results.

89 octane should be fine....
I'm shooting for a pump gas friendly engine that run great.
I wanna DRIVE this car some.
Been sitting in the garage WAY to much.
Gotta get some use out of it.
Paying big $$ for race fuel just chaps my ass.
Buying it for racing is one thing....but spending $200 for a weekend of sweet dreams and midnight screams is wacked.

Oops, fat fingers. Should say 725. I think It'll be a number. I tried to get a set of these heads from another member but the import hassle ($$) was just too much, too bad. What I want to do is hear the thing at 7200. Clip please Bnick.

Here ya on the fuel cost thing. One of my "dilemas" for my turbo build, pump gas or pump e85. The e85 is similar and sometimes cheaper than 87 but you use approx 1/3 more. Still cheaper than race gas. Possible availability problems should I take a road trip(especially northeast). I may end up building to run either and go EFI with my turbo project. (twin supply systems and two separate "tunes")
I've followed your build, its been a long time. I know that feeling all to well. Progress much slower than I want. "Finally" will happen though. Your just a tid away from driving and enjoying. Whether or not you make the numbers you hope for there is certainly great potential to exceed them in the future. Keep after it and enjoy it.

I'll say 715 at 6500. I think the cam may be a little on the small side. May be wrong though. It will be interesting to see the results.

I'll let Tony decide that.
I figure he knows a lot better than I on what it will or won't take....

its been to 7800 but it didnt make enough difference to make it a habit. to be honest i am shifting by feel now. been pretty consistent. light is set at 67oo but if its been on i havent seen it. goes thru traps about 6800 now. I hope you make 700. but only an et slip will verify. I have heard BES dyno is alot stiniger than that POS they use in california.
You must be dieing with the excitment. you definatley have waited along time. good luck Brad.
