Just got back from the Nats. The headers look amazing. I drove the car for the first time and what a difference in ground clearance. We drove up to Tipp City over some pretty bad roads and it NEVER hit, not even once!! The collectors are even with the oil pan now where as before it was way below. I felt no power difference between the Doug's full headers and the Tri-Y, so I am very pleased with the whole change. Thanks again Ron.

From the time Fritz first posted to revise this thread I now have completed 7 sets with one I’m working on now to make 8 sets total by Thurs. Two more are to be done between now & maybe Sat or Sun. That’s 5 sponsors & 5 owed total by then.

The things I have done to the design & the tooling over the last few weeks has greatly shortened the build time per set. My only limiting factor now is the time between sets to get materials needed & the problems involved with getting such small orders . Also the fact that spending much more for the materials due to the small quantities on each order.

With all the those or mods I have done in the last few weeks. I can now build a complete set of either O’s or D-ports in a day by myself “if” I have everything here. Before it was about 3 day's

I have been alone for a few weeks now because the help I had wasn’t up to par but at least did a lot of the really pety stuff that was time consuming in the beginning. I currently have no help at all. I have a friend that can build about the same pase as myself ( he has a job ) & is willing to help. I have one other guy that can help & is a quick learner.

So to some things up this is taking way longer than it needs to & I have only one way to speed things up. There are only a few more on my list of sponsors. I need 14 more sponsors & they would need to be all at once to do the trick. This would allow me to get all the materials at the shop on one order instead of 3-5 days between each order. Also would bring the costs down greatly for the quantity ordered. Also I would have the needed help to come in help. Then I can make 2-3 sets per day with the before mentioned help.

Then over the course of two weeks all owed sets & sponsors sets would be done & shipped daily.

So from this point on I need to get a group of 14 guys that can make this happen & they will all get a discount for this group for making it happen.

Contact me at record7jet@aol.com to set it up

Ron

I got a set shipped on Monday to be coated. The tracking number shows that it will reach the coater today. So while I haven't seen them myself, the pictures look fantastic and the pictures on the test fit chassis also looks great (rushing to work now, will post pictures later tonight).

The turnaround time was great and Ron was in constant communication with me, giving info and updates. I intend to order another set for my second T/A. Based on my experience, I would encourage others to seriously consider supporting Ron. There are other brands out there, but if you need good FIT and ground CLEARANCE, there is no option!! (See also Contos' comments above, which is also a plug for PERFORMANCE).

Guy's, though Ron is doing well with the builds and the present design now, but he needs the extra margins that the "bulk" order will afford. It will also speed up the build times. If you were thinking of ordering a set, "Just do it"! Plus there is also the incentive of a further discount (say how much Ron and maybe I can order my second set right away!).

Larry, I am your sponsor. I know that you have always supported Ron. When you get your set, let's hear what you think.

Cheers, everyone.

Rich

I was reminded of some info I didn't post yet.
Both the D & O-port 2nd gen bird headers will now fit 68'-72 A-body's. Just that the 2nd gen birds are available with the oval collectors because the A-body's don't really need them

Ron and all-

Do you think it would be better to have a thread started somewere else? The reason being if a person does not frquent this particular thread, they may never know that Tri Y headers are available? Most likely the people checking out this thread are past old customers checking on an update and a few new ones.
Just wondering if another area in this forum would give Ron more exposure??

i spoke with mr ron today..seems like a nice fellow to me..but if your gonna get a set of these pipes, you should act now..things happen fast out here in california, and it could be here today, then gone tomorrow..

ima thinking about getting with him for some normal header designs..most folks are pleased with his work lately, so lets support our own brothers..screw socialism, just spread the wealth among us capitalists..

For the 68-72 A-bodys do they work with a manual trans setup?

We need some of you 64-67 GTO owners to step up and order your new tri-ys today! Ron is not making any of these for us in that run of headers until someone orders a set like them, that way he can make two sets at a time (at least). If the guys who have been holding out will order, then we can all be happy

Silverbird, "the list" is a very complicated thing. It can't be summed up by simply when the person paid, there are a few factors that have to be considered. I could tell you how it is done, but then I'd have to kill you.
