Default How to remove the condenser on a 1966 Bonneville?

I need to remove the air conditioning condenser (in front of the radiator) from my 1966 Bonneville. I can't figure out how to get to it, though. Can someone tell me how to remove the condenser?

Thanks for your time,
John Thomas

Remove fan/fan clutch, then remove fan shroud, Remove radiator. The condencer is infront of radiator and you should be able to get to it then.

There is another sheet metal shield over my condenser in addition to the sheet metal shield over my radiator. The problem is the left and right sides of the shield over the condenser is under the fenders. I can't imagine having to take both fenders off to get to this shroud over my condenser.

Will the removal of the radiator shroud and radiator allow clearance for the condenser to come out? It looks like when I try to come to the rear with my condenser, I won't be able to come back with it (due to the sheet metal and brackets). It really looks like the condenser needs to come straight up, but that sheet metal shroud is in the way.

Dropping down through the bottom doesn't look like a viable option either (to me) ???

Thanks for your time,
John Thomas

Maybe I'm misunderstanding the situation, but on the 65's we remove the front bumper and center support which allows access to everything. Seems to me that the screws holding it to the radiator support are only reachable from the front - not to mention the plumbing that needs to be disconnected before dropping it out the bottom.
