Default Thanks To The Pontiac Community

I recently received the semi-annual royalty statement for my Pontiac book, published by CarTech, Inc, titled
"How to build MAX-PERFORMANCE PONTIAC V-8s, CarTech part number SA-78.

I am pleased to announce they have sold 24,000 copies since its introduction in July, 2004.

I sincerely appreciate the confidence of each of you had who have bought the book and paid your hard earned money for an unknown book. I am still amazed at the quantity, and also the fact that we have so many dedicated supporters for an engine that hasn't been built for 30+ years.

Again, thanks to all and if you are satisfied with the book, inform others who may not be aware of it that it is available through many Pontiac vendors and specialists, and normal technical book outlets.

I can tell you that CarTech is very much aware of the tremendous interest in the Pontiac hobby, and they know there has been many advances in parts and technology since my book was written. Sorry - no other information at this time, but don't give up on additional technical information on the old Pontiac (or facsimiles thereof) from well qualified personnel!!!!!

Thanks to you, Jim, for sharing your hard earned knowledge. I remember listening to you speak at the first Classical Pontiac Meet in St Louis, 2001, and thinking to myself, this guy should write a book!

Jim, It is guys like you that have kept the fire burning, not us for we only followed your lead like sheep to greener pastures. A good portion of us and most of the younger generation could have easily been swayed to go another route with a more popular power plant but it was you (as well as several others in our Pontiac community) that gave us the confidence that we too could build something to be proud of. I / We Thank You so very much for your efforts and hope you have intentions to pen more pages with todays offerings in the mix. I hope them roayalty checks never cease to plug your mailbox. All the best to you.

Couldn't have said it any better myself, Tim.

Jim - Thanks for all you've done and continue to do for our beloved Pontiac hobby! From your final remarks, I definitely smell another publication might be in the works - AWESOME!

Plus one. I just sent an 18 year old to the book store for his copy. He was in a hurry to build a 400 for his Trans Am. I told him buy the book, read it twice and then ask a lot of questions first. Thanks, Jim. You're helping raise 'em up right.

They say the Hemmings Motor News is the "Bible" for the automotive enthusiast. Well, maybe so, at least at one time.
But yours is truly the Bible for the PONTIAC enthusiast!! Very well done, and a thanks back atcha.

I have the original books from HO Racing, Pete McCarthy, Jim Hand and even that angry guy Cliff Ruggles.

In their own way, each is a very important part of any Pontiac reference library.

Thank you Mr Hand, for the book, the articles over the years and the posts here on PY.
