Water Pump Pulley Help '69 400
I have the short snout water pump on my 1969 Firebird 400. It has A/C, PS and Alt. My water pump pulley is the 9796062 (2 groove). Can someone with the long water pump snout tell me what their 2 groove pulley part number is so I can try and find one. I would like to install a modern water pump but my short snout is preventing me from doing that because I don't have the correct pulley in my assortment of pulleys.
Thanks! Tom

My water pump is the '69 short snout water pump. I have the 9796062 pulley. My understanding is the 9796061 is the same depth, just different diameter. At some point during the '69 production run they changed to the long snout water pump 11 bolt water pump but I have not seen any parts manuals that list this change so I am hoping someone with a long snout water pump will provide the part number on their pulley.
