Default will 65 GTO disk brake spindles work on a 67 firebird?

I have a set for a 65 I might use on my 67 if they will work. Thanks

The '64 -'72 A-body (GTO) spindles will interchange onto the '67 -'69 F-body (Firebird) cars, just use the steering arms from the Firebird spindles.

That's what I was thinking but my buddy said they wouldn't work. Thanks b-man.

I've got 69 GTO front spindles and calipers on my car. It's a snap to swap the steering arms. The trick will be if you are going to use the 4 piston calipers from the 65. They are correct also for your 67, but tend to leak fluid around the piston seals. Have the calipers sleeved from someone that does a lot of the Corvette calipers. If you are converting from drum brakes be sure to replace the master cylinder and proportioning valve also.

Good luck.

The disc brake option for the A & F-body cars wasn't available until '67, but great advice nonetheless.

Most disc brake swappers will avoid the '67 -'68 4-piston caliper setups and go for the '69 -'72 single piston units.
