Modulator line
For the TH400 modulator line, was there a clip/bolt or something that holds the downturn portion to the back of the block, or cylinder head?

Yes it should have a clip on the right side of the engine that it snaps into. I think the clip is on the top right bolt for the tranny to the block.

If you need the clip I have one. Drop me a line with your address. My cars are all stick so I don't need it.
