Lyn,

Never too late to post pix of a original GT-37! Looks great in red with gold stripe. Bench seat 3-speed original bench shifter with a big black knob.

John,

That original owner white 70 GT-37 is also very cool! Looks like 70-71 Judge stripes(three color eyebrows) not early 71 GT-37 stripes red/white or red/black? Mirror looks wierd too? Like the hitch is that factory??

Lyn,
Nice GT-37. So rust free too. Those 350 2bbl 3-speed manual cars have nice acceleration off the line. Back in my high school days, my friends always got a thrill whenever I lit up the tires on my 350-2bbl 3-speed man GT-37. It seemed like that car could smoke the tires for half a block. I laugh now because I remember always having to go to the tire store to buy one new G-70-14 Kelly Super Charger bias ply tire for the right rear.

Mike it was running a couple weeks ago until I sold the 400 Pontiac engine that I had installed in it. Now it has not engine and I will install the 400 out of the 1968 Lemans I parted out after that engine gets resealed and new rear main oil seal.

hey lyn, i think i looked at that car up in mossville about 2 years ago. It was in a storage unit up by caterpillar. The guy was a little high for what i wanted to pay. I bought that 2nd gold 72 that you came and looked at for half the money.

Thanks John, I drove this one home about 40 miles with the old checked bias ply tires but couldn't help myself it ran so good!

Yep, Same one Adam! After a month of talking bought the car for $4000.00 less than he started out at. Still haven't heard back about the rearend.

well thats good lyn. glad it found a new home instead of just sitting in storage. I was fairly interested in it, i wanted something different to take place of not having my gt-37anymore. we went and heard it run, and checked it out, but i just couldnt pay what he was asking and he didnt budge from that very much. wouldve liked to have had it, but with all my other junk, i wouldnt have been able to pay that for it and still have enough money to do some work on it.

i dont want to offend anyone but i dont think that is the '71 gt stripe look at the ones on my car. I have a 1.5 sets of NOS stripes new in the box. i tried reproing them for you guys a few years ago but no one could get them close enough. I have some extra time now and am going at it again. I will get them perfect and I will not fail. lol.

btw most of the paint is original and the rest is all at least 25 year old lacquer.

Thumbs up

Soitenly, it's still on carsonline..... two years later? Geez, they're a bit slow with removing the ads. There is a link for the ad on the first or second page of this thread, but, I like the car, so here's another pic. (or three!) Hope you don't mind?

LOL.. I don't mind at all.. If you look at the last pic of the firewall that you posted you can see the chalk marks (2337) from the factory. I was surprise how original this car was! One thing i'm going to change is the color..from tropical lime to canyon copper..i just can't handle the green...
