Default 69 GP front discs

It appears that from studying a few PHS invoices I have accumulated for 69 GPs that power brakes with front discs were made standard around 1/1/69.
This along with the head restraints, which seem to be on invoices for cars built in 68' but not 69 (of course all GPs in 69 had these as standard.)
Please post your opinions!

Discs were Std equipt for the 69 Prix.

I cut the roof off of a 69 with manual brakes/ Power steer, no A/C about 10 yrs ago. HO car also by the manifolds. D/A greedy owner wouldn't sell the whole car but would part it out.

No idea of the build date.

The PHS for an early 69 I had showed power brakes as an option. I often wondered if a 'stripper' GP exists....one with manual brakes/steering and no radio..(these are all listed as extra cost options)... and of course, no air, one colour, plain wheel covers, 3 spd manual, non posi etc. I guess it would still have buckets and a floor shifter/console since a bench seat was not availalbe til late 69 models. There were some 69s madewith the 3 spd. manual trans, wonder if any of these were a plain jane model. Ben.

Thanks Grant!
For the record the 69 J spd HO car we had did have power brakes with front discs.
This was not on the invoice. The car was manual steering.
It is possible that someone could have ordered a manual brake GP back then.
A light green Model J exists with HO, 4spd, and manual brakes along with suppposedly 14"x6" Rally IIs. i haven't seen the invoice but I would guess it was an early build car.

Thanks to you too, Mike!
Was the car you cut the roof off of a 4spd car?
A shame if it was - that is one less.

No, Auto trans. I tried like hell to buy the car as a complete unit. Idiot wouldn't come off of it as a unit.
