Sooo, does this mean that we have to wait a couple of years to hear why or that you split up after a couple of years together?

I'm guessing we will see this dead thread revived in 2012 with a follow up.

I've been separated/divorce over seven years now. If I would have chose option "B" over divorcing and was stupid enough to get caught, with all the overcrowding, I'd probably would be getting out now on good behavior. Would have been a helluva cheeper with NONE of the continuing headaches I have now and definitely would have been better for the kids.

All that was asked of me by my buddy was to just clean the chipper/shredder when I was done.

LMAO...well, I didn't find a lot of humor in it at the time, but now, 13 years later, I think it's damn funny. I'm a lot happier as a single man than I ever would have been as a married man...especially being married to her.

I've been happily married for 14 yrs this June, but I keep telling her that my next wife hasn't been born yet.

I don't know why she doesn't laugh like I do over that.

I think what keeps me single is the stats on marriages. 1/2 of all marriages last FOREVER!!!

Wife divorced me because I was an a$$....and I was a lousy husband and father of three. Worst experience of my life. Divorce is hell....especially when you have kids. The whole ordeal forced me to look into the mirror and see just what an a$$ I was. By the grace of God, I started to change my ways......and.......

FORUNATELY, after four years of separation/divorce, we RE-MARRIED and are living happily ever after. We've been re-married for 7+ years and will be celebrating 25 years this coming June. Things couldn't be better !!

Why? She asked for it, I complied (had just celebrated 16th anniversary).

What did it cost? About $100,000

Was it worth it? Ask Danny (Goathead) or Bjorn, they know the old and new wives, and have witnessed the results!

Her partying / drinking and verbal abuse, and my neglecting her. She asked for the divorce.

Cost me well over 1/2 a million, but well worth it.

The good news is that we get along pretty well now, and our 9-year-old daughter is well adjusted and doing great in school.

Dang, I can see alot in all posted. Divorced after 23 with the first one, was great for both of us. Both are remarried and happy about it. The kids ask me why we didn't do it sooner. I have to admit, I was an ASS, to my first, two sides to every story, but I did cheat and got caught. My second wife is wonderful. A beautiful blonde, helps in the garage, buys parts for/with me, and goes almost everywhere with me. I in turn fllow the stuff she does, she sings in a band, has a high profile job downtown, and enjoys lots of other stuff (the getting naked stuff rings a bell, lol) We celebrate 10 years in March.

No it wasn't her daughter but someone she worked with, my ex-wife was only 8 years younger than me. I went on a diet so to speak, the ex weighed in at around 280 when she sleft, the blonde was 5'7" and 120 lbs. I was a happy man for several years.

She enjoyed clubbing and drinking with her friends, which she never did before we were married and only started after about 4 years in and since I don't drink, I was the designated driver at first and after all the drunken rantings and abuse I put my foot down and refused to do it anymore. After that there were some serious personal issues that crept up and she didn't want to deal with me anymore, so she left. I hope she's happy with her choice. I know I am happier than I've been in years, but I blame that on the drugs.

Got married too young... Ex-wife had a lot of growing up to do. That included drinking and hanging out in the bars... and other men. Very hard on me at the time. My second wife is great, helped me raising my two sons, supports my hobbies, supports the shop, helps at events, takes care of my health issues... been ten years and counting. The ex and I are great freinds, she has just recently left her second husband. I'd do anything for either one of them.
