gas leaking at sending unit
I installed a new OPGI gas tank in my 66. I installed a new sending unit before installing the tank. I was very careful to center the unit and O-ring before turning the tabs. It was OK for a month. It started leaking at the sending unit. I pulled the tank and put a new O-ring in it then reinstalled the tank. It is leaking again. Could I have a bad tank or?

Bob , to be truthfull, your the first person i heard of having trouble. May i ask you, was the o ring a tight fit when you locked in the unit??

It did not feel as tight as I thought it should.

It's the o-ring causing the trouble, it needs to be thicker. When you turn the ringed tab it should be a pain in the neck to turn because the fit is so tight. I had the same issue the last time I swapped a tank. Do you have the factory o-ring? If you compare the two you'll see the difference. Good luck! JD

Your right. I guess I have to pull the tank again. Installing the sending unit with the tank in place is a real pain...
