Default 1959 Lower Control Arms

Are both lower control arms identical? Is it possible to get the wrong one on the wrong side?

I believe they're the same as my 1960, they have a steering stop riveted on the rearward side of the arm, so that needs to face the rear.

The arms do appear to be symetrical and the steering stop is the only thing that makes them "left or right".

I hope they're symmetrical. I don't really want to take the whole front end apart again.

Does anyone know for sure?

I looked at mine and they appear to be. Taking the front end apart may be quicker than grinding and drilling those rivets, maybe not.

Probably not, haha I looked at them today, yep, my little stop is in the front but there are holes for the back. I guess that means they are interchangeable. What does that stop do? I'm not seeing how that would stop the steering???

The steering arm has a "finger" that hits against it when you crank it all the way to one side or the other.
