Default Heat not blowing

I have a 72 ventura non a/c. Can't seem to get the heat to blow. I hear the blower motor running. I can hear the door moving when I switch from defrost to heat. Anyone have any ideas before I have to pull the whole fender off to pull the blower motor?

Thanks.

Is it blowing cool air ? If so theres a vacuum operated "T" in one of your heater hoses that's probably not working; a common problem. It has an inlet/outlet and disc shape on it and a vacuum port; I can't think of the damn name of it offhand they run about $10

you could have a plugged heater core.if it is not the problem mentioned by 455 grandville disconnect your two hoses going into the heater core on the firewall and put a garden hose into one of the brass tubes and flush it out.after you flush it check your passenger side floor for leaks.i replaced a few cores in 69-72 pontiacs

There is nothing coming out at all. I do hear the blower motor running though. Other than that the levers on the controls are very hard to move. Was thinking I could just lube it all up with some WD-40.

69gp400, now that I think of it the pass. side floor has been wet. I thought I had a leak and it was rain water but now I guess I may have another problem with the heater core.

Is there a door in the duct work that shuts off the flow of air? It could be jammed if there is one.

Thanks guys. Getting hard to drive her around with no heat. Also haven't built my garage yet so pulling the fender off in the driveway is less than ideal. Trying to avoid it.

changing the core should be fairly easy on your car and the core is available. change the core flip the lever and enjoy the winter. you can get at the core from the engine bay area.

if blower motor can be heard running, then the problem is elsewhere.

Had the car out today. Noticed that there is actually a small amount of heat pushing out the bottom vent. Gonna check to see if the core is clogged.

It is possible that the blower wheel has become disconnected from the shaft of the motor. Plastic wheel center may have broke, or if metal wheel the set screw may have come loose...
