RUB IT IN!

My Hotel California 8 track just bit it today right after Life in the Fast Lane.
I had already repaired it twice, but it got tangled beyond hope.

I am driving in the rain, at night, running errands, with the kids who are eating and having ice cream in the back, after going to the drag strip, burning rubber, and blowing donuts. Do you really think it's numbers matching all original?"

My favorites, too! I've got more Eagles CDs than any other artists. There's nothing better than listening to Eagles tunes driving through Cali. or the southwest deserts.
Hell, I even stopped into Winslow, Arizona.

""No problem......

thanks Goathead, but lets just say thats a lot more than I pay for an 8 track.
Heck, the most I have spend on a player is less than the cost of two of those tapes.

I have a portable player to test tapes,
and an underdash in the car.
It just started acting up and eating tapes this week.
(usually its either a break in the splice at the metal program change foil, stickyness from stuff on an old one, or some other tape problem is the issue- not the player)

found some sticky goo from a splice or something in there,
hopefully it will go back to normal instead of eating tapes now that I have cleaned it up.

It makes no sense, but it just seems to be "right" for the car to have an 8 track.

ker-chunk!

Those shoes and Take it easy. But Lifes Been Good by Joe Walsh is probably my favorate song from all of those guys work. I still remember Howard Stern interviewing him before he went nationwide .Stern asked him what happened to the band and Joe said" I don't know. I showed up to work one day at the studio and no one else showed up."
