Here is a picture of the one that was removed from my 70 GTO. I'll look tonight and get you some numbers off of it. Mine is a late Sept. build date.

I checked the GTO part number and came up with 5452310 D65 147 no stamp on pad
I also have a drum brake 70 Lemans Same 5452310 D65 171 CTstamp on pad
looks like CT but very light
The 70 assm. manual says Drum M/C part # 5468683 RW (page 5-1.1)
All this did was to confuse things more. Post it over in the tech section and the real experts can probable figure it out.

5452310 seems to be the most common MC found on 1970 drum brake cars. I don't get any hits on google or PY with a 5468683 MC. Thanks for checking. Sent you a PM.

GETRIDAONE, I just pulled mine and have the same date casting. Is yours built in June? My build sheet is unreadable, other than a something T.

No luck looking at Eric White's book or Zazarine's book for part numbers. Looks like the consensus is 5452310, so that's what I'm going to go with.

Thanks,

Scott

I'm having a senior moment, I'll check tonight if it quits raining. The car is still on the trailer outside (tarped) I just brought it home last Wednesday. I think from your comments you have a Freemont car as is mine.
