From the looks of the drivers compartment I'll bet that driver was hurt badly if not a fatality, I pray they made it out without too much in the way of injuries. The combination of a heavy foot and a light head can produce the above results.
A little bondo and some rubbing compound it'll look like brand new.......................OUCH. |

It appears he was passing cars in a 35mph no passing zone when oncoming traffic forced him to swerve.... the wrong way. Witnesses said he was going at least 75mph...
I'm glad his injuries don't appear to be life threatening, but the sight of a wrecked Judge due to stupidity, is to put it mildly - devastating. Still no idea whos car it is. John |

Wow.... that is a hard hit. You have to think that if this was a new car, that guy would no longer be of this earth.
The drivers quarter looks like it is almost folded in two. |

Most certainly the driver would have been better off in a newer car. |

That could make a grown Pontiac guy cry.
As far as seat belts, i have 30 yrs of volunteer fire fighting experience. After 100's of extrications, i say 9 out of 10 times, your chances are way better using a seat belt in todays cars. As far as lap belts in old cars, it's a toss up.

Typical results when a hobby car owner gets behind the wheel. No, the comment about seat belts and old cars offering better passenger protection aren't jokes, further documenting that hobby car owners are the dmf'ers on the planet.
The result of hobby car owners behind the wheel? Look at the begninig of the thread. Someone who claims seat belts don't save lives and follows it with "Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity? PRICELESS Ranks right up there with the scolding of the litterbug by a worthless pos who leaves things for other's to do. |

I'd say the small tree laying next to the pole in picture 3 did all the damage.

I wonder if there was any connection to that street racing incident Saturday night.
http://www.twincities.com/ci_13190657? "A 20-year-old New Brighton woman may face criminal charges after running a red light on University Avenue and killing a motorist early Sunday, police said, shortly after officers broke up a possible drag-racing gathering." This accident was a separate event, but I suppose the guy in the Judge could have been there and was leaving in the other direction. [Note this article is from the St. Paul paper, it was the first link I found - the Minneapolis paper also reported on it, but I noticed their story correctly called it street racing. |

Another bad thing about this is the way the big insurance companies will look at it.
That pisses me off worse than the Judge getting wasted, knowing it was the result of stupidity. |

From looks on drivers interior leg area, I am surprised he didnt have some serious leg injuries.
In those large pictures posted you can see what looks like the firewall /underdash mashed down almost to front of the seat, doesnt it? http://forums.maxperformanceinc.com/...d.php?t=608961 |

Sad -- it just takes a second -- can lead to disaster - hope the driver is okay .

I'll bet the VIN and trim tag reappear on a Tempest.
Makes me sad to see that for sure. |
