Default help on heater/ AC control

The heater/AC control on my 71 GP no longer shifts air flow through the various ducts (defrost, floor heat vent, etc.). I only get air flow from the main dash ducts.
Can someone explain the operation of the switch, or is there another component at fault? Please note that previously, when switched between the various ducts, there was a time lag of close to a minute before air flow was shifted.
Also, still looking for a low speed blower motor resistor. Which makes or models of cars may have a similar unit?
Thanks

Check for a vacuum line that may have come off the engine or reservoir.

Default Thanks !

There was a loose vac line off the carb. I said to myself "self, it can't be that simple". It was.
Thanks Again
