Default 70 vs 71 front fenders

Anyone know if other then the front part of the fender (front of the wheel well forward)are the fenders the same?Reason I ask is I think the fenders on my 71 are pretty bad and would like to get new ones.Problem is,no one makes them.So i thought I could take a 70 fender and splice the front part of the 71 fender to it.

The 70 should be a spot on donor fender if you're planning to graft the front section to it. I converted a pair of 71 Lemans fenders to GTO fenders by welding the GTO section to them. Take plenty of measurements & start cutting!

Are 1971 Lemans 2 door fenders the same as a 4 door or wagon and the same as a 1970 or 1972?

Yes the front ends are the same, thats why its so easy to make a GTO station wagon.

Nova, I thought I had seen your build before over on pro-touring. Keep up the good work!

That is good to know. Chevelle 2 doors are different than a 4 door or wagon from 1970-1972.
