Default engine motor mount swap

Hi Im in the process of redoing a 1979 transam. Im going to install a 1972 455 out of a catalina into the 79, the engine is at the machine shop as we speak . my Q: is will the block bolt to the mounts of the 1979 or do I need mounts for a 72 transam? The block has the 5 drillrd bolt holes in the 455 .The engine that came out of the 79 TA was a 301

Just get 79 TA motor mounts for a 400 Ponitac motor. They put 400's, Olds 403's and the 301's that year.

I have done this exact same swap a number of times. The motor mounts are the same but it is a good time now to check them for wear since they are inexpensive to replace and replacing them with the motor out of the car makes life much easier.

Getting to the bolts in the frame is a "little" tricky but doable with basic tools.
