Can a 68 Deck lid be adjusted?
Hello friends, well after several months looking for the leak that started in my trunk. After replacing the bad seal, I still can't find out whee the water comes from. Not just a little bit, but when I wash the car, the trunk gets about two gallons in it with a normal wash.
I replaced the seal, and the old seal never leaked a bit. I installed it correctly and used the correct sealant. My only other thought is that because installing the new Soff Seal ® the trunk started leaking real bad, but it's also very hard to close now. Could it be that it's so hard to close, be causing the lid to raise in some area, which in turn causes the leak? I look at the trunk today and don't know where or how to adjust the lid. Thanks for any help you may have..... Mike

I would get in the trunk with a flashlight and have somebody spray it down. You should find your leak real quick.

Leak
If that doesn't work take out the back seat and shine a flashlight to the trunk when the hose is being sprayed.

coupe? or vert?
I found several areas that leaked in my trunk (69, but could be the same)... 1) around bolts for bumper 2) tail lights 3) if you lift up the seal in the lower right corner, there was on mine (and several other cars) a small pinhole UNDER the seal, where the different pieces of metal come together 4) and of course on my vert, the gutter under the top was cracked
