Talking Hoping to check out another Darksider tomorrow!

Well as I continue the slow progress on my 2+2 I've been getting the itch for another Darksider! Something I can drive while I work on the 2+2! Well if all goes as planned I'll be heading over and checking out another 67'! This one is a Grand Prix! Originally 428, now with a 455 and its a factory 4 speed!!! I'm excited!!! I cant wait!!! Here's a couple teaser pics! Hope to post more if I end up bringing it home tomorrow!!!

It's funny to see a stick GP without a console.

I saw that listed on the POCI site and it's been on ebay too. Your right Steve, wonder why no console? Looks to be pretty solid and definately has new springs under her!

"If" I do end up bringing it home I will drive it while I work on my 2+2. When I get done with that it will absolutely be restored! Of course it all comes back to "if" LOL

I'm hoping to be posting more pics later on today of the car!!!!

Dave, you can't go wrong with a 4spd G/P.

Unless you're doing 5k clutch drops and split the trans case.

I liek the color comb and will beinterested to see the PHS on it. I've never seen a G/P without some sort of a console that wasn't a bench seat car.

Mike

Thanks Mike!

As far as the PHS goes the following options on the car were as follows:

-Pushbutton Radio / electric antenna
-Rear Seat Speaker
-Sport Stripes
-Power Steering
-Power Brakes
-Soft Ray Glass (windshield only)
-4 speed manual trans
-428 4 barrel

The one question I do have is regarding the page with Engine Production #'s...

Disp. (428) Description (Spec. Equip) Trans (M) Carb (4 Bbl) Code (WG) Qty. Built (824)

With Qty. Built does that mean my car is 1 out of 824 for the year?

Anyway...I'll post more pics tomorrow!

I just hope I can sleep now! LOL!!!

Neat car! That production number would be for all WG engines built, period. Some went into GPs, some into Catalinas, some into Bonnevilles or Executives, and a few went into the parts system to used for spares. So, the number of GPs with the WG engine is quite a bit less than 824.

Oh wow! Thanks for clearing that up for me Stuart! Now what are the chances of finding a WG engine for the car now if only 824 were made??? YIKES!!! LOL
