Default Will my stock 389 valve covers work with roller rockers

Well I may have screwed up but some how I ordered roller tip rockers for my 66 389 tri-power build with out asking this question. I want the car to be stock look and am not willing to change the valve covers. Is this going to work? they are the standard 1.52 7/16. I hope this is not going to be an issue.

Thanks Hunter

mine 1.52 7/16 fitted the original valvecovers after i had milled down 7mm of the stud bosses. i assume you have adjustable valvetrain.

Usually a thick vc gasket will help clear, sometimes a double gasket

Mine barely touched and I could've milled them down enough. Or the double gasket would've been enough. But I changed vale covers for a diff look. Cap

There are several quality spacers available that will fit the permiter of the valve covers base frame and you will just need to get longer fasteners, use the original valve covers and you are good to go. A few different sizes (thickness) are available. Paint the spacer rails / frames engine color and they are hardly noticeable. Extra valve cover gaskets seal the spacers to the cylinder heads.

Thumbs up BVR421 is right!/ Pontiac Gregg

You glue togther 2 sets of RAM AIR 4 CORK gaskets, using contact cement. Just apply to the 2 sides you're gonna stick togther, don't wait for it to tack up. Just stick togther and align as the glue sets. Then using the same glue, apply to valve cover and gasket, do the same alignment as it sets up. NOW put GREASE on the gasket to cylinder head surface.
This way you'll never damage the gaskets when you remove the valve covers .!!
