True.. Didn't mean to hi-jack. But, I almost removed the power booster all together to make them manual brakes. Be fore I found out that she needed more vacuum, I was pulling the steering wheel and pushing a 2 incher with both feet to get her to stop. Food for thought.

We found out that the 85-87 "BK" S10 booster lives well at low vacuum; we tested it on Brent's 69 Lemans with a dual 4 barreled 428 - worked quite well.

I converted my Firebird to disc years ago, she stops on a dime. My GTO has power drum, she stops just fine. The LeMans has manual drum; although I did convert her to a dual master cylinder, I regret spending the money on an aluminum radiator and not converting her over to disc while detailing the engine bay prior to dropping in the 455.
Why would anybody NOT want an old car to stop like a new car?
