Default Rad Support Question

I recently found someone with a clean rad support from a 1970 lemans. My question is, can I remove the top plate from my 69 gto rad support (drill out spot welds etc.) and replace the one on the 70 lemans rad support? I know the top plates are different but is there any other reason this can't be done? Thanks for the help.

I just picked up the rad support from the 70 lemans and you can remove and switch just the top plates, everything else in the lower section is the same. If anyone is interested in the top plate and crossmember from a 70 lemans rad support, let me know.
