I hope no one buys that. They will be mighty disappointed. The coding is not present on the bumper where the license plate goes. It's a repro.

If you are talking about the sticker on the back, I see that. What I don't see is the code stamped in the bumper. This should be seen from the front side where the license is bolted up. It should show up on the left hand side. I looked for the stamping and it is not there.

Would the notches and bolt holes for the optional bumperettes not make this a
'71/'72.......repro to boot. ! |

The GM replacements that I have had (NOS if you prefer) did not have any date code stamped in them like the production run parts did. They also had the notches/holes in them for the bumper guards.
This looks like a GM part & the seller states that it's not a repro. Does anyone know for a fact if the repro's have any ID #'s stamped in them? |

Good info.
I'll have to check the one I have. Bought in the early 80's I think from YearOne.

Agreed. And I found one listed as NOS on another site for $1200. I hope this guy comes down to earth.

I mean really, you could take a very nice original and do a very nice rechrome for about 700-800 and you would not know the difference! I just don't get it
