Thumbs up 3.5" tailpipes for 2nd Gen Firebirds.

The lighter aluminized over the axle type.

I wouldn't be apposed to 4" if it can be done?

I think you could sell a few set with everyone making more street hp.

Default Amature Question

please be kind, teach me
Do you really need 3" after the mufflers? ...seems like after the muffler restriction, 2.5" to 3" would not gain much if any.

As goquick said. Just depends on the type of muffler used and how much horsepower you have to begin with.

I have picked up ET taking down my 3" tailpipes with 3.5" exhaust in mph. And egt's dropped too. That was with 2 chamber 3.5" flowmasters.

I like my current 4" Dynomax bullets better and quieter then the 3.5" flowmasters when I had them.

Thumbs up

Looks awesome. Talked to Chris at VMP for Jim Zeeks Pontiac in the Park race and he said I was the only one interested in 3.5" or 4" stuff. I can't believe that. Especially with more and more 505 and 535 IA 2 blocks and killer aftermarkets heads on the market makin 650 plus on pump gas. Lotta big cu.in. street combos out there in 2nd gen Firebirds.

Where di you get your system. I know there are 2 other pipe places. One in Ga, the other in Arizona, but wanted to give Chris my money. A Pontiac vendor.

I'm sure there are some big inch chevys out there also too LOL. They will work on the 2nd gen camaro as well.
