Default TO SPRAY OR NOT TO SPRAY??

Hey boys,i havent got the new combo to the track yet, have to wait till spring.
But im getting bored couped up for the winter and snow so im thinking of throwing a little spray on the car before spring.
Im in the middle of getting the shaker hood to fit now with victor and king demon so i have NO space for a plate.
It would have to be a fogger setup.
Im thinking a little 150-200 shot max sprayed in second, third gear, not out the hole.
Should i do it?

Im pushing about 750hp now with stock block on motor.
Eagle cast crank, billet 4 bolt caps studded
h-beam rods,2000 bolts
ross pistons
studded wideport edel heads
Cam is a comp solid roller,272-280 dura2.050,.704 lift int/exh,110 ls,installed at 110

Spray it... 150-200 not a big deal dedicated fuel system would be a good idea.I have pretty well the same combo as you. Except my heads are not wide ports but they do flow 340 plus.

I have seen that but if i do it,i think im gonna go fogger.
This way i can always grow from the 150-200 shot down the road, even if its with a different setup.

Be sure to have run-flat tires for when you run over your crank

Nitrous is like Viagra, when your out your out

Honestly, if you didn't set the ring gaps up for the nitrous I wouldn't. You've put a lot of coin into the new combo and 750HP is really pushing the stock block already. IMHO The camshaft your running is maxing out the stability of the cam webbing which is scary too. I'm a fan of nitrous but in your case it really isn't needed. Heck your deep into the 9's at least right? lol JD

I set the gap on the new set of rings for spray just incase i decided to use it!

Looking back,i wish i would have bought a forged crank while i had the motor out.Could of had it balanced for this rotating ass and put it in while i was freshening bearings.

Dont know where im gonna be on motor, hoping for some 9.6's if all goes well.I will be happy with that considering its on pump gas and i can drive it anywhere.
But i know ill have the bug to go faster even if i get the times im shooting for.

I would hate to kill it though,im more worried about the crank then block.

I just dont know what to do!!!!

I forgot to mention all the safety requirements needed once you go 9.99 and/or 135 MPH or better. You'll need an NHRA licence, a better rated SFI jacket, better cage, and engine diaper just to name a few.

You know what they say, "The faster you go the more expensive the risk!". If you juice it just keep in mind what's at stake and be willing to start over if it....well you know..I don't want to say it out loud.

I too can't wait till Spring I want to see how close your new combo comes to the expected HP numbers. Come on warmer weather!!! JD
